Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving

You know you have fabulous friends when they accept you even after NEEDING not just one, but TWO Thanksgiving feasts to quell the desire for turkey, all the trimmings, dessert and leftovers...

We had a Practice Feast... and I must admit,
Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving
was a
smashing success.

*Thanks Hursts and Killians... we're stuffed*

First of Many...

I have a feeling that today is just the first of many:
  • snow angels
  • snow ball fights
  • hot cocoa and mini mallows
  • red, drippy noses
  • and mild flip outs when snow drops down the back of her coat....
Here Comes Winter.

Like a weed, I tell ya, a weed..

This girl keeps growing.... like unto a weed.

One of those noxious weeds that just grow and grow without any regards to their mamas.
Weeds DO have mamas, you know. I think?
Like the ones around here such as the pesky Perennial Pepperweed or the Syrian Beancaper (I KNOW my noxious weeds).

Anyway, I'm straying.

Also, I don't ALWAYS consider my little "weed" pesky.... not always.

wienie roastin'

Wienie roasts are the bomb.

So are fires.

And friends.

And when you combine the three... well, something magical happens.

or not... but it sure is fabulously fun.

I wanted to tell ghost stories... but all i could think of are the sounds that are supposed to be in ghost stories. So my "tales of horror" were more like this:
"One upon a time... dum dum duuummmm.... there was a haunted house.... squeeeeeeak... goes the door. Up the stairs... more squeeeeeaking... and my heart was pounding.... thump-thump, thump-thump..."

then that was really the end of it... since all i had in my little bag o tricks were the creepy sounds, but no substance. No one was even a little bit scared. Not even my two year old.

Here's one good lookin' wienie roaster. His face is aglow. That's right, I said "aglow".

I love when I say, "hey guys, look at me" i get very different reactions.
Nice, Dylan, Nice.
