For Yer Consideration

We're in KENTUCKY!!! Taking a ton of pictures (dum dum duuuuuummmm... that was supposed to be scary, ominous 'dumming') and will fill in all the details of our splendidly relaxing vacation when I get home. Ava's having a total BALL with her Beboo and Papa Wilson and she misses her Aunt Ashly and the cousins. Could not ask for a better time! Ah the adventures she's already had!!! Oh, and as a rule, I'm going to try (operative word, TRY) to steer clear of the computer and save all the updating and blog-work for home-- excited to see what everyone else is up to.... since it looks like I'm falling behind!!!)

No Really, I can't get Enough!

Dagnabit-- I'm hooked. Completely and totally distracted by all the great, zippy little things you can do with these actions. And now it's officially past ONE A.M. and I'm still playing around... I'm like a fat kid in a candy store.

Here is a picture that I just grabbed from my OLD FILES... we were at the St. Louis Zoo during our first year of marriage. Yes, we're quite a cute couple. No, I did NOT Photoshop T with hair... it's legit.

Here's the BEFORE

It's a good picture, the flowers are lovely but my bright red Croc is definitely no longer HIP (was it Ever "HIP"? Hmmmm... something to chew over).
BUT... I think we can punch it up a bit!

And... AFTER

zing, zang, pop, wow
My world just shifted on it's axis... i love it! Now my red shoe is just OBSCENELY red!

And for some further doodling... let's make this moment softer and more ethereal. Oh Romance with a Touch of seventies' vintage. Can't you just smell the tulips from where you're sitting?

AAAAND.... AFTER (again)

These past few hours that I've known about this site (11.45 hours to be exact) have been glorious, just glorious. But admittedly, my derrierre is killing me: I need a better computer chair with all of this editing I'll be doing from now on. G'night... sweet, blissful, editing dreams to all.

Fashionista

Here's a great link that lets you photo lovers tweak and play with your pictures. Obviously I'm NEW to this"tuning up" process... Ava's face looks WAY too washed out... but dang, it's FUN to play!

Dare I Say??

Gasp, Shock, Dismay!! Is it really nearly springtime??? Today we broke out the first official *sign* of summer... good ol' trusty Cones! After a nice long walk to the park and COUNTLESS trips up and down the slide, Taylor, Ava and I treated ourselves to a celebratory "toast" of Breyer's Smooth and Dreamy Vanilla Bean ice cream. All smiles at the Wilson home today!

Oh and it wouldn't be complete without pink sprinkles now would it?

Happy Pre-Summer to All

Amazing Race's Newest Competitors!!!!

Season 15 of the Amazing Race held open auditions here in Idaho Falls today- so naturally Taylor and Riley were gunning to go and try it out. The title may be misleading... but I choose to think positively (I sure can go for a half a million bucks these days!). The boys practiced their 2 minute plea last night for a few hours while Destry and I video taped their Many attempts-- but it was the kind of practicing that involved A LOT of laughing and joking around... they were hilarious! They weren't sure how to "market" themselves: the drama team, the father/son duo, the hippies (you know, what they'd be known AS) ... so the two finally decided to just be themselves (which was a major relief because the later the night got, the more flamboyant and ridiculous it became). The Go-With-the-Flow Co-Workers.

The application required one photo of the two contestants together. We call this picture, "Hey, we're BFF's and we should be on the show"-- cute fellers

Here they are in front of the sign-- which honestly I was a tad disappointed with... I mean really, they couldn't fork out for a little more PIZAZZ in their sign?

*NOTE*
This next photo may not be suited for all audiences. We knew there were going to be a few, ahem, Characters at the audition, but I think we found the two that want it a little more than T and Riley.

(tried to blur it, still you get it-- unfortunately)

Taylor and Riley did a great job... remembered MOST of their lines and gave them solid reasons why they should be picked... but when you're up against large white men in diapers and other crazy duos-- the chances of getting picked are slim!

On their way home, it was clear to these boys that, while their wives love them very much, they just don't have what it takes to be on a television show... that, how you say, "j'ne cest quoi". So they decided to drown their sorrows in mounds of Bambino's Pizza. I have a feeling they didn't feel too heartbroken. But in all actuallity, I'm SO PROUD of T for going out there and trying out... I think it's something that we'll talk about for a long time and it makes me smile knowing that my love is still going out there being adventursome-ish! You're the best, T!

Quick! Limited time offer!

Another fun blog game!

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! (Though I hope you will!)
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year. {might be a little while}
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. I don't even have a clue what it's going to be.
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a homemade gift! It may not be great, but it will be fun!!
* * *Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!* * *
